Prayer Experience Retreat
The Prayer Experience Retreat (PER) is designed to lead people to a deeper understanding and practice of personal prayer. It has been described to be helpful for Catholics who are relatively new to prayer and are trying to pray daily in the midst of a busy life. It is also a good follow-up retreat for those who had previously attended the Conversion Experience Retreat (CER).
This 3-day stay-in retreat will introduce people to St. Teresa of Avila’s four stages of prayer and some basic methods of Ignatian prayer, including the use of the imagination when praying with scripture, finding God by reflecting on our everyday experiences, and encountering God in silence and stillness. This will be a semi-silent retreat with short, practical exercises on prayer, together with time for personal reflection and group sharing.
You will learn to:
- Connect with God in prayer
- Listen to the Lord
- Communicate with God through journaling & meditation
- Receive healing in prayer
- Develop a deeper relationship with God
- Grow in the spiritual life
- Free on-site parking available for the duration of the retreat
- All meals provided
